Santa Claus Riding A Roller Coaster At Holiday World in Indiana Is Absolutely Epic

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana is #1 for family fun.  Even Santa Claus loves riding roller coasters and we found a video of him on the Thunderbird.

WHAT IS HOLIDAY WORLD & SPLASHIN' SAFARI?

Holiday World & Splashin Safari is a combined theme park and waterpark in Santa Claus, Indiana.  According to Wikipedia here's how the park came to be;

Plans for Santa Claus Land were first conceived as a retirement project by Louis J. Koch, a retired industrialist from Evansville, Indiana. In 1941, Koch visited the town of Santa Claus, Indiana. Upset that children came to a town named Santa Claus only to be dismayed when Santa Claus wasn't there, Koch developed the idea for a park where children could have fun and visit Santa year-round.

When the park opened in the early 50s it was called Santa Claus Land.  Holiday World came to be in 1984.  Splashin' Safari arrived in the early 90s.

REMEMBERING HOLIDAY WORLD AS A CHILD

Angel here and I visited Holiday World for the very first time when I was seven years old.  They didn't have all the roller coasters just the front part of the park.  The most vivid memory I have is the divers.  I even took a photo with them in my crazy sparkle wig that I had to have from the gift shop.  I'm pretty sure everyone that's visited has their epic Holiday World memory that sticks out in their mind.

I've been taking my own children for years and they absolutely love it.

My oldest boys always looked forward to our trip every year.  Then we added two more littles and it has been a cherished tradition every summer and sometimes in the fall.

SEEING SANTA

When you visit Santa Claus, Indiana at Holiday World you expect to see Santa.  My kids go on a literal search to see if they can find him strolling around the park.  In all my years visiting I never saw Santa on a ride.  I recently found a video on Theme Park Review on Facebook.
