Some residents in Henderson will need to boil their water before consuming it thanks to a boil advisory put in place by the Henderson County Water District.

Eyewitness News was the first to report the advisory Wednesday morning, saying the advisory is a result of repairs made to a broken water main. It applies to those living on Middle Delaware between Hwy 416 and Barren Church Road.

The Water District advises you to bring your water to a full boil for five minutes before consuming it, and if you experience cloudy or discolored water, open several cold water faucets until the water runs clear again according to Eyewitness News.

The advisory will be in effect until further notice.
