New 65 MPH Speed Limit on Owensboro Bypass Begins Thursday

Drivers in Owensboro will finally get to push the gas pedal down a little harder on Thursday as the new 65 mile per hour speed limit takes effect on the Owensboro Bypass.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2 announced the installation of new signs reflecting the increase in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

As the KYTC notes, police will be in the area during installation to continue enforcing the current 55 mile per hour limit until installation is complete.
