Murder Suspect Arrested

The Evansville Police Department announced today that a suspect in a February murder has been arrested.

Gerrod Pointer who was a suspect in the murder of Maurice Heyward was arrested by Wichita, Kansas police. Police believe that Pointer shot and killed Heyward outside the Lucky Lady on February 13th. Kansas police were able to arrest Pointer on a warrant for murder.
