Laid To Rest: Hundreds Mourn Brothers Killed By Father In Murder-Suicide

Mourners from across Washington gathered in Tacoma today to lay to rest the sons of Josh Powell.

Charles, 7, and Braden, 5, died last Sunday in a murder-suicide arson set by their father. The boys were at the center of a bitter child-custody case between their father and their maternal grandparents. Their mother disappeared under suspicious circumstances in Utah in 2009. Police now believe Josh Powell killed his wife but have not been able to find her body.

During the ceremony for the boys, their grandparents thanked the police and other law enforcement officials who had done "everything they could" to try and keep the boys safe.
