Grammy Nominated Vocal Group to Perform FREE Concert With University of Evansville
The University of Evansville has announced an exciting addition to the Patricia H. Snyder Concert and Lecture Series. The concert features the internationally acclaimed British vocal ensemble VOCES8, and is happening on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. inside the beautiful and historic St. Benedict Cathedral on Lincoln Avenue. Sounds pretty awesome, right? What’s even better is that the concert is FREE to attend!
Why VOCES8 Is World Renowned
To say that VOCES8 is good would be a bit of an understatement. The group is considered the world’s top-streaming classical vocal group. Their performances have been called “flawless,” and once you hear them, you’ll understand why.
What To Expect From a VOCES8 Program
A VOCES8 concert features music spanning five centuries. You’ll hear everything from Renaissance harmonies to modern pop and jazz arrangements with a sophisticated twist. It’s the kind of show that appeals to longtime classical fans and casual music lovers alike. The video below is an arrangement of one of my favorites from Billy Joel!
VOCES8 have performed at iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House and Vienna Konzerthaus, and in 2023 they earned a Grammy nomination for their album The Lost Birds. Their sound has been described as having “Rolls-Royce” precision – smooth, polished, and powerful all at once.

The Patricia H. Snyder Concert and Lecture Series continues to bring nationally and internationally recognized performers to Evansville at no cost to the public. I think we can agree that we’re incredibly fortunate to have something like this in our community.
Music Education And Community Impact
What makes this concert even more special is how deeply committed VOCES8 is to music education, reaching more than 40,000 people annually through the VOCES8 Foundation and its mission of “Music Education for All.”
