This big, brown, beauty is LOLA, and she is our adoptable Pet of the Week from It Takes a Village. If you make it through this article without, at least once, singing "La, la, la, la, Lola" then you are a better person than I am. I couldn't even make it through the first paragraph.

LOLA is a 45-pound Pit Bull Terrier who is a few months away from her fourth birthday. She's a good girl who was trusted to be left on her own at her previous house. She's great on a leash and loves going on daily walks. LOLA is great around kids and other dogs, and our friends at ITV say she even gets along with cats.

LOLA's previous guardian gives her a big thumbs up and calls her "an amazing dog." She's ready to go for walks, hikes, and adventures, or even just being a couch potato. Either way, she can't wait to find my forever home and start the next chapter of her life.

LOLA is available for foster or adoption, so please go ahead and fill out an online adoption application, and then schedule a meet and greet with our pet of the week. If you aren't able to adopt right now, perhaps you could foster an animal from ITV. Fostering is FREE and always welcome.

All of the animals at ITV are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and FIV/FeLV-tested.

If our pet of the week isn’t the right fit for your home, please visit It Takes a Village to see the other rescues that need to get fostered and adopted. And don't forget about their RENT A DOG Program. A quick fill form and copy of your photo ID will allow you time out with one of ITV's vetted shelter dogs. These day dates are great for the rescues - it gets them some exercise and new information to help us get them adopted. It’s been a big hit- so don’t miss out!
