Logan’s Promise Offers Safe Rides Home On New Year’s Eve in So. Indiana
New Year’s Eve usually comes with big plans that include good food, good friends, and maybe a toast (or two) to ring in the new year. And while celebrating is part of the fun, getting home safely is the part that really matters. That’s where Logan’s Promise comes in.
What Logan’s Promise Does For The Community
Logan’s Promise is a local nonprofit with one clear mission: end drunk driving. It’s not about lecturing or judging – it’s about making it easier for people to make a smart choice before a bad one turns tragic. And when it comes to the holidays, Logan’s Promise wants to help you avoid jail, the hospital, or something far worse by getting you home safely.
And the numbers really drive the point home. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, one person in the U.S. dies in a drunk-driving crash every 52 minutes. Let that sink in. These aren’t unavoidable accidents – every single one of these deaths was preventable and came down to one bad decision. That’s exactly the decision Logan’s Promise wants to help you avoid.
How The New Year’s Eve Safe Ride Program Works
For New Year’s Eve, Logan’s Promise is once again offering its Safe Ride Program, and it’s as easy to use as opening an app. If you’re out celebrating, just use the Lyft code SAFERIDE2026, and you’ll receive up to $25 off your ride home. The key word there is home – this program is designed to get you safely to your final destination, not to the next party or bar.
Who Can Use The Logan’s Promise Lyft Code
The code is valid on Wednesday, December 31, starting at 10 p.m. and running through 3 a.m. on January 1, 2026. It’s available to residents of Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties, and each person can use it for one ride.

This year’s New Year’s Eve Safe Ride program is proudly sponsored by BMWC Constructors, helping make sure our community can celebrate responsibly. If your business or organization would like to sponsor a future Safe Ride weekend, you can email cbrown@loganspromise.org.
