Baseball is America’s favorite pastime, and it’s only fair that everybody has a chance to play the greatest game in the world…right? But that can be tour for children with special needs. There just haven’t been a lot of opportunities in the past for them to play ball – that is, until the Highland Baseball Challenger League stepped up to the plate (pun absolutely intended).

Inclusive Baseball On Evansville’s North Side

The Highland Baseball Challenger League, located on Evansville’s north side, believes in the power of inclusivity. This adaptive baseball program is dedicated to serving youth between the ages of 3 and 18 who face physical and intellectual challenges. Every child deserves to experience the joy of sports, and individuals of all abilities are invited to join the team. No family faces financial barriers, and no player is ever turned away.

What To Expect At The 12th Annual Highland Show

One of the Challenger League’s biggest and best events each year is coming up soon. The 12th annual Highland Show will include a yummy dinner along with a bunch of raffle, silent auction and live auction items. There will also be entertainment - some of the best local celebrities, community leaders, and local groups lip syncing the night away!

Local Evansville Leaders Will Take The Stage

We already know that Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry will be back to perform, along with our favorite crime-fighting duet, Evansville Police Chief Phil Smith and Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson!

The Highland Show is coming up on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Vanderburgh County 4H Fairgrounds. Tickets are $25 each or a table of 8 is $200.
