This Was NOT How I Expected Goodwill Glam to End but I LOVE How it Turned Out

Hopefully, you’ve been keeping up with me enough to know that I am a thrifter. I love going to Goodwill and finding pieces that I can customize and turn into outfits for myself, but I also love doing it for other people.

Hopefully you've been following me along this shopping spree contest, because it was a really fun one and a lot of cool outfits went home with people. Here's how it went, an article goes up on our website, you get the chance to register to win, and once a month, I pick a winner to go on a Goodwill shopping spree with me!

I would meet the winner at a local Goodwill, and then we’d have a $50 gift card to basically shop till we drop. During the shopping spree, we’d pick out at least ten outfits together, try everything on, take pictures and pose.

We Did Things a Little Differently This Time

For the last month of the Goodwill Glam series, though, we did things a little differently.

We picked a winner like usual, but at the last minute, our winner had to cancel on us. We were already ready to shop, so we decided to go to Goodwill anyway and find our winner right there in the store.

And that’s exactly what we did.

We went to the Goodwill on First Avenue in Evansville, and that’s where we met Elizabeth.

Meet Our Final Goodwill Glam Winner

Elizabeth was seriously one of the nicest people I’ve met. She was so willing to let us interrupt her shopping trip, play dress-up with us and go along with this completely unexpected shopping spree. She also had a pretty cool story.

Elizabeth loves the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. She is a dedicated Fall Festival goer and told us some of her best childhood memories come from going to the festival. She’s also been working hard in school toward a medical degree, so it was really nice to be able to treat her and buy her a few new outfits.

Time to Start Shopping

Once Elizabeth said she was willing to shop with us, we went to work.

She told us she likes a lot of black and more alternative, indie colors like orange, red and gray, basically darker colors. So, of course, we started searching the racks.

We ended up finding her a couple of really cute fall pieces, just in time for her to have a new outfit for the Fall Festival.

And we stayed on budget!

Elizabeth spent $47, so she came in just under our $50 gift card. Overall, she loved her unexpected shopping spree with me, and she really was in the right place at the right time.

Saying Goodbye to Goodwill Glam

I have absolutely loved this series. I’ve met so many amazing people through Goodwill Glam and have even made some new friendships along the way. I’ve put together a lot of fun outfits that I honestly wish I could wear myself, and yes, I’ve also gone home with quite a few Goodwill goodies of my own during this promotion.

I’m a little sad to see Goodwill Glam come to an end, but I couldn’t have asked for a more fun way to wrap it up.

I hope you enjoyed the Goodwill Glam series as much as I did!
