Expanding the Reach of Evansville Rescue Mission

Tracy Gorman is the President and CEO of the Evansville Rescue Mission (ERM). Every time we chat, he has a new project to tell us about. We were the first to break the news about the new Susan H. Snyder Center for Women and Children. Since that time, work has begun on the inside of the building. The new team for the center is also taking shape.

Over the course of the next 18-20 months, your Evansville Rescue Mission will have the exciting opportunity, along with our friends, partners, donors, and collaborators to transform a former medical office into the Susan H. Snyder Center for Women and Children. It’s going to be quite the journey, and we’ll need everyone’s help to make this incredible dream a reality that the entire Tri-State area (and beyond) will be proud of.

Evansville Rescue Mission Selects Executive Director

Dr. Nancy Miller will be the first Executive Director of the ERM’s Susan H. Snyder Center for Women and Children when it opens in late 2024 or early 2025. She is going to do amazing things for our community.

Dr. Miller comes to this position after having served for several years as the Director, of the School of Education, Graduate Studies (9/14 to present) at Oakland City University. Throughout her impressive career as a leader of leaders; as a mentor; as a problem-solver and strategic thinker; and as someone who has been a friend and confidant to many, she has made a huge difference everywhere she has served. Now, she will be able to bring a lifetime of service and organizational experience as she helps the ERM to launch this incredibly important part of our ministry to this community and region, which will serve so many vulnerable women and children in the years to come.
