Drums On The Ohio Returns to Reitz Bowl in Evansville
What Is Drum Corps International
The historic – and beautifully renovated – Reitz Bowl will once again host DRUMS ON THE OHIO, part of the nationally renowned Drum Corps International (DCI) Summer Tour. If you’ve never experienced DCI before, think of it as the Major Leagues of on-field performance. These aren’t your typical halftime shows. This is elite-level precision, along with jaw-dropping musical power and choreography.
Eight incredible corps are heading to Evansville – including six World Class and two Open Class competitors.
Phantom Regiment And Other Fan Favorites
You’ll see popular names like Phantom Regiment from Rockford, Illinois. Founded in 1962, they’re practically royalty in the drum corps world and have been wowing audiences for decades.
Another fan-favorite, Gold Drum & Bugle Corps, is also coming all the way from California. Since 2005, they’ve exploded in popularity and appear annually at the DCI World Championships.
The Santa Clara Vanguard, known for pushing creative boundaries for more than 50 years, will bring their bold, innovative style to the Bowl.
Pacific Crest, which started with just 33 students in 1993, now impacts nearly 4,000 students each year and has become one of North America’s most respected programs.
The Colts from Dubuque, Iowa – proof that small cities can produce powerhouse talent – have landed in the DCI Top 12 nine times.
A Night Of Innovation Power And Precision
Add in the nearly 60-year tradition of the Seattle Cascades, the high-energy precision of Genesis from Austin, Texas, and the character-driven mission of The Battalion from Utah, and you’ve got one unforgettable summer night.
