One of Downtown Newburgh’s Favorite Restaurants Just Expanded Its Hours

If you’ve ever tried to plan a meal at Cafe Arazu, you probably know it can get busy and sometimes catching them on the right day takes a little planning. I myself got caught waiting over an hour for a table but if you know Cafe Arazu, you know it's worth the wait.

Well, that just got a lot easier.

The popular downtown Newburgh restaurant announced that as of March 9, it’s now open seven days a week, giving locals and visitors more chances to stop in for lunch, dinner, or brunch.

A Go-To Spot in Downtown Newburgh

Located in the heart of downtown Newburgh just down the street from Cleo's Bakery, Cafe Arazu has built a strong following for its Latin American-inspired dishes, creative specials, and cozy atmosphere. When I first walked in there I was already taking several pictures of the place because the aesthetic was uncanny.

One thing regulars love about the restaurant is that the menu is always evolving. The team often posts weekend specials on their Facebook page, usually on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons, and they’re known for getting pretty creative in the kitchen.

Now that they’re open on Sundays, they’ll also be sharing Sunday brunch offerings, giving people another reason to swing by downtown.

A Patio, Live Music, and a Pet-Friendly Hangout

Beyond the food, Cafe Arazu has also become a favorite gathering spot thanks to its two outdoor patios.

The larger patio is pet-friendly, which makes it a popular stop for people walking around downtown Newburgh with their dogs. During the summer months, the lower patio often features live music, turning dinner into a laid-back evening out.

Add in their full bar program and house-made desserts, and it’s easy to see why the restaurant has become a staple for many locals.
