Celebrate National Nacho Day With Local Food Favorites
Celebrating One of the Tastiest Days With YOUR Recommendations
Alright, let’s talk about one of the best days of the year National Nacho Day! You already know I’m a total food girlie. Bobby and I love checking what National Day it is, especially when it involves food. I mean, who doesn’t love a good excuse to celebrate with snacks? The fun part is that we all have different tastes and favorite spots, which always makes food talk so much better. What makes it EVEN BETTER is YOU! Your recommendations are out of this world when it comes to best eats in Evansville and I can't wait to explore more.
A Nacho Mountain to Remember
So, in honor of National Nacho Day, I shared a throwback picture from a few years ago me sitting in front of the biggest mountain of nachos I’ve ever seen (or tried to eat). This was at Margaritaville down in Florida, where the food portions are no joke. I swear, you need a small team just to finish one appetizer there!
In Search of the Perfect Plate of Nachos
Now, I’ll be honest, I’ve never really had a “go-to” nacho spot anywhere I’ve lived. Nachos have always been a spur-of-the-moment craving for me. Sometimes you find a place that absolutely nails it, and sometimes… well, they could use a little more love in the toppings department, you know?
Locals Always Know Best
That’s why I love asking you for local recommendations. You all always come through with the best ideas (and occasionally, some wild ones). This time, you told me to check out Bud’s Rockin’ Country Bar and Grill—and apparently, their nachos are legendary. I had no idea they even served food, but you were right. Those nachos were massive. Like, “the size of me” massive.
So what did I do after work? Naturally, I went straight to Bud’s and ordered their chicken nachos. Everyone in the bar gave me that look—you know, the one that says, “Good luck finishing that.” And honestly? They were right. Let’s just say I now have breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next couple of days. Totally worth it. What's funny about this is I had so many nachos to take home the bartender had to wrap the box in foil for the top to stay!
I guess I owe it all to you for the leftovers that I will be having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Keep those food recommendations coming! I love hearing where you all go for the best local eats. It’s the kind of joy that fills both my heart—and my plate.
