Beetlejuice the Musical Is Taking Over Evansville Tonight
Beetlejuice the Musical is officially in town!
If you're looking for something a little strange and unusual to do in Evansville tonight, I think I found it.
The Broadway hit takes over Old National Events Plaza tonight, Tuesday, September 29, at 7:30 p.m., kicking off the venue's 2026-2027 Broadway in Evansville season.

And yes, this is that Beetlejuice.
The musical is based on Tim Burton's beloved 1988 movie, but you definitely don't have to be someone who has watched the movie a hundred times to enjoy the show.

What Is Beetlejuice the Musical About?
At the center of the story is Lydia Deetz, a teenager whose life gets a whole lot stranger when she meets a recently deceased couple and, of course, a certain striped suit-wearing demon named Beetlejuice.
The touring production mixes comedy, big musical numbers and some pretty impressive sets with a story that is ultimately about family, love and making the most of life.
Basically, if your idea of Broadway is always serious and fancy, this one might change your mind.
Broadway Is Coming Right Here to Evansville
I also love that we don't have to make the drive to Indianapolis, St. Louis or Nashville to catch a touring Broadway production like this.
Beetlejuice is the first show in this year's Broadway in Evansville lineup. It's followed by Waitress in December, A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical in February and Shucked in April.

And if you're heading downtown for tonight's show, here's another nice bonus: parking in the main Old National Events Plaza lot is free. The venue has approximately 1,100 spaces available behind the facility.
So grab your fellow strange and unusual friends and get ready for a little supernatural fun in Downtown Evansville.
Just whatever you do... maybe don't say his name three times.
