Hope Takes Root: GRANTED to Build ROY AND AMANDA JORGENSEN HOUSE OF HOPE
GRANTED, a beloved local wish-granting organization is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in its mission to bring hope and support to children battling terminal or life-threatening conditions, along with their families. The ROY AND AMANDA JORGENSEN HOUSE OF HOPE is set to become our community's first comprehensive programming facility, catering to children residing within a 100-mile radius of Evansville.
A groundbreaking ceremony, marked by anticipation and optimism, has been scheduled for April 26, 2024, at 9 a.m. The location is set at 2200 Oak Hill Road, Evansville, IN, where this remarkable journey towards hope will officially commence. The vision is bold, and the impact is profound, as the GRANTED HOUSE OF HOPE is expected to open its doors in June 2025.

New Chapter for GRANTED
While many in the community know GRANTED by its previous name, Wish Upon A Star, for its heartwarming mission of granting wishes to deserving children, the ROY AND AMANDA JORGENSEN HOUSE OF HOPE represents a new chapter in their commitment to families facing unimaginable challenges. Wishes have always been the cornerstone of GRANTED's work, but with this visionary facility, the organization will extend its reach and elevate its services through the Beyond The Wish programs.
Granted House of Hope 3D Tour
The HOUSE OF HOPE is designed to cater to the unique needs of families with medically complex children who are bravely fighting their toughest battles. It is set to be a one-of-a-kind haven, providing comprehensive support and services that go beyond granting wishes, offering solace and strength to families when they need it most.
Fundraising Underway
A silent fundraising campaign began in April 2023 and over $1.8MM of GRANTED’s $2.2MM fundraising goal has been raised through donations, grants, and in-kind goods and services. “We live in a very loving, supportive, and generous community when it comes to supporting area children and families fighting their toughest battle,” said GRANTED board member and fundraising Co-chair Jeff Purdue “The response in the past five months from our community, particularly from local construction companies, has been nothing short of incredible. Granted House of Hope will be a blessing for our community for generations to come.”

“So far, 84 local construction companies have stepped up and offered to donate construction labor and/or materials to turn House of Hope from a dream into a reality. We have also been blessed with support from local companies and individuals.”
A public fundraising campaign has now begun to raise the balance of the money needed to break ground in April 2024. “The entire community now has an opportunity to support the HOUSE OF HOPE community project with the purchase of items such as personally engraved bricks, picnic tables, benches, and swings."
