Get ready, country fans! WBKR’s Champion Concert Car Connection is bringing VIP Travis Tritt tickets to Champion Ford this Saturday. Don’t miss it!

Champion Concert Car Connection is Here!

WBKR is rolling out a brand-new monthly contest called the Champion Concert Car Connection, and it’s all about great music and a little adventure. Each month, I'll hop into a featured vehicle from Champion Ford and give listeners the chance to win tickets to an upcoming concert. Along the way, there may be trivia, challenges, games, and a few fun surprises, all happening from inside that month’s Concert Car. It’s a new way to connect music lovers with live shows throughout the year, and we can’t wait to hit the road!

Here Comes Travis Tritt

The country music icon is bringing his full band live show to scenic Castle Knoll Amphitheater on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and if you’ve ever seen him live, you already know this is going to be huge. I’ve seen Travis perform multiple times over the years, and he is truly one of the best in the business. Hit after hit, powerhouse vocals, and a stage presence that never lets up. It’s the kind of show you do not want to miss, especially under the stars at Castle Knoll’s beautiful hillside setting.

A Valentine’s Surprise for Country Fans

Now here’s where it gets fun. This Saturday morning, the Champion Concert Car will be set up at Champion Ford Mazda off Southtown Blvd in Owensboro, and we’ll have five pairs of VIP GA tickets to see Travis Tritt up for grabs. VIP GA gets you access to the PIT area closest to the stage, so you’ll be right there for every song, every guitar riff, and every big moment. It’s first-come, first-served! So if you’ve been looking for the perfect last-minute Valentine’s surprise (or just a reason to treat yourself), this might be it.

The specific contest time will be announced Saturday morning on WBKR, so be sure you’re tuned in. We can’t wait to kick off the very first Champion Concert Car Connection with you.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
