Santa Claus Brings a Kentucky Boy a Vending Machine for Christmas
You're likely quite familiar with the song lyrics "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. My two front teeth. My two front teeth." Is there a kid anywhere on the planet that ever asked for that? I doubt it. I mean, in a world full of toys, I don't think there's a kid anywhere that would just ask for their teeth for Christmas.
Of course, in a world full of toys, it might also seems a little strange to ask for a vending machine. But, that's exactly what Reid Haire has been hounding his parents (Alex and Nathan) about for months. In his words, "I want a bending machine."
Was there any possible way that Santa Claus was going to be able to load a vending machine onto his sleigh. I mean, a vending machine weighs more than what? At least 25 elves? Can North Pole General Hospital handle that many hernia surgeries at once?
Luckily, Santa has some connections here in Kentucky. As it turns out, Santa has a trusty elf named Roger Pharris at Bluegrass Vending. As Reid's mom Alex explains, "Santa's workshop was short on vending machines, but he and his wife still found a way to make this one happen." The Pharris family hooked Santa up with a real vending machine that he could drop off at Reid's.
Now, obviously, you can't fit a vending machine UNDER a Christmas tree. But, you can fit one BESIDE it and that's exactly what the big guy did!
Look at this thing! That looks like something you'd see at the rest stop at the Kentucky/Tennessee line.
Alex admits, "I think I'll remember this Christmas for the rest of my life. And I hope Reid does too." She goes on to say, "Moments like this are a reminder that there are still truly amazing people in the world."
She's right. This is amazing. So, Merry Christmas to you, Reid. And I'll take a package of those M&Ms. Oh, and a package of Oreos too. Glad to see Santa left a few cookies behind.
