The Liberal Redneck Is Coming to Owensboro (And Yes, I Once Met Him in an Elevator)
One random night back in 2021 (at least I think that's when it was), I was staying at Hotel Preston near the airport in Nashville, TN. I was waiting for the elevator to head up to my room. When the door opened, I noticed someone I instantly recognized. I said, "You're Trae Crowder!" Like he didn't know. LOL.
Well, I am happy to share the news that Trae Crowder (a.k.a. The Liberal Redneck), one of my favorite comedians, is coming to my hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky. That exciting announcement has been shared by the RiverPark Center downtown.
Trae is one of my go-to follows on Instagram. His 'rants and raves,' which often take place on a porch or inside a vehicle, are politically-charged, impressively intellectual, and hilarious. In fact, that's how he first gained international attention back in 2016.
Since then, Trae has toured venues all over the U.S. and he's been seen on shows like Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, Nightline (ABC), and Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell (MSNBC). He's also appeared on networks like MTV and CNN.
Trae has also been featured in sketches on Comedy Central, Funny or Die, New York Daily News, and more.
He filmed a 30-minute standup comedy special in Nashville back in 2021, which I think, if my memories are correct, is the same time I saw him in the elevator. His latest full-length special - Trash Daddy - is now available on YouTube!
Now, the fun news for local fans like yours truly. He will be taking the stage at the RiverPark Center on Saturday, February 20th, 2027 and tickets go on sale Friday, October 2nd, at Noon CT. You can purchase your tickets at the RiverPark Center Box Office or online at Ticketmaster.com.
