Owensboro friends, we have a mission!

A couple from Owensboro appeared on the Today Show celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, and now we NEED to know who they are so we can show them some hometown love.

Our friend Maria Kelly spotted them on TV and shared the moment on social media, posting, “Not sure their name, but they were on the Today Show celebrating their 10th anniversary, and they said they were from Owensboro, Kentucky! Happy Anniversary and God bless for many more!!”

Of course, the second “Owensboro, Kentucky” was said on national television, half this town probably started texting each other, taking pictures of the TV, and yelling for everybody else in the house to come look.

That’s just what we do. We have tons of hometown pride!

And it got me thinking about my own Today Show moment from years ago. More than a decade ago, I somehow ended up in the crowd during a live shot and yelled, “I LOVE YOU CHRIS ARNOLD!” while the camera panned by.

My husband and my entire family were watching at home and absolutely lost it. I’m pretty sure they still bring it up anytime somebody mentions New York City.

Which is exactly why I know this anniversary couple is probably getting texts from half of Owensboro right now.

So help us out! Do you know this couple? Are they your neighbors? Your cousins? Somebody from church? We want to find them and give them a proper Owensboro congratulations for representing us on national TV.
