Bardstown's My Old Kentucky Dinner Train offers multiple themed excursions that are available throughout the year. But if you're looking forward to a beautiful ride through central Kentucky that couples a great meal with stunning fall foliage, it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and book now.
If you don't need much more of a theme than lunch or dinner, you'll have plenty of opportunities, as there are lunch train excursions and dinner train excursions available on select weekends through December. The menus, by the way, are seasonally rotated.

Now if you want a themed journey that combines delicious cuisine with some real brainwork, you might want to "investigate" the Murder Mystery Train, which is also available on select weekends through December. While guests enjoy great food, they'll piece together clues and hopefully solve the mystery before the "murderer" is revealed at the end of the 32-mile trip. Talk about a perfect and fun combination.
