Imagine getting the opportunity to line dance with Miranda Lambert. That's exactly what happened to Whitney Merritt of Owensboro, Kentucky. Over the weekend, she was hanging out at a bar in Nashville when one of her country music idols walked through the door.

See, Saturday marked Alan Jackson's farewell concert at Nissan Stadium. The city was packed- more so than usual- with country music stars and fans. In fact, Miranda Lambert was one of Alan's many fellow country stars who were slated to be a part of the tribute show.
Whitney, who was also in town visiting, happened to see a social media post from Miranda about a "Crisco Disco" party at her bar Casa Rosa. Miranda's new album, Crisco, was officially announced last week and she wanted her fans to have a chance to celebrate the news with some line dancing and specialty cocktails.
Whitney, because she has been a longtime fan of Miranda's, started doing the math. She says, "I figured there was no way that would be going on without her stopping by if she was going to be so close." Nissan Stadium is incredibly close to Miranda's bar. So, Whitney and her mom Rita strategically planned their visit to Casa Rosa.
As it turns out, Whitney was right! About an hour into the event, she noticed that Miranda's husband- Brendan McLoughlin- showed up. In fact, Rita got her picture taken with him!

The highlight for her daughter Whitney was this!

Whitney says she knew we she saw Brendan that Miranda had to be in the house too. They were all learning a line dance to "Crisco" and Miranda decided that she wanted to learn it to. After going through the dance a couple of times, Miranda took the stage and waved Whitney up to join her!

In addition to getting the opportunity to share the stage and dance with Miranda, she also got the chance to chat with her briefly. Whitney says, "She was so nice and down to Earth."

Miranda's new album Crisco- which inspired the weekend's big party- will officially be released on October 2nd. That gives you plenty of time to head down to Casa Rosa and do a little 'Crisco Disco' of your own.
