How Can You Have the Perfect Summer Without Visiting Kentucky’s Tallest Water Slides?

My perfect day at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari would entail making a beeline for the latter and spending the entire day in the water. I love being in the water, and water rides are a personal grand slam home run. Bring 'em on. All of them.

Last summer, I experienced the Mammoth Water Coaster, the world's longest, for the first time, and I loved every second of it. Mind you, I don't do regular roller coasters. But "throw water on it" and you got me.

Holiday World is, of course, in Indiana and among the most popular theme parks on the planet. But what about Kentucky? There is certainly no shortage of water parks in the Commonwealth, but I wanted to get specific and find the BIGGEST water slides, and I think I have succeeded.

Deep Water Dive - Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville

Okay, gang, Kentucky Kingdom has an awesome water park, one that might require more days in Louisville than you might have planned. But plan accordingly and enjoy, among other things, the tallest water slide in the Commonwealth. It's 377 feet long and drops 121 feet at a 70-degree angle. Sounds like quality air time to me.

Cyclone Saucers - Beech Bend in Bowling Green

The largest expansion in the history of 127-year-old Beech Bend Park included what is now the legendary theme park's tallest water ride. It's nearly 500 feet long and 55 feet high. Sounds and looks like a blast. Where are my swim trunks?

TurBoa - Venture River Water Park in Eddyville

Venture River is strictly a water park, and, strictly speaking, it's an entire day's worth of fun. And I do not doubt that that "day" will include multiple rides on TurBoa, Venture River's tallest water slide. Who's ready for a 3.5-story drop?

You can't do summer without water parks, and, as far as slides are concerned, the taller the better.
