You'd be surprised at how often a simple question like "What time is it?" is searched on Google. We all have the time on the fronts of our phones.

Honestly, since the advent of mobile phones, I'm surprised we haven't seen a downturn in the purchase of watches. And because our beloved lifelines started becoming more and more mainstream back in the 1990s, I'm certain we would have heard if there was a panic in that industry.

I guess maybe watches are now regarded more as jewelry than timepieces. I don't wear a watch, and I haven't in years. I don't like them.

Other inquiries that came up in a list of frequent searches have to do with the very technology folks are using to MAKE these searches. For example, "how to screenshot on a mac" and "how to screenshot on windows" are quite popular.

I see a lot of questions one might ask in a classroom like "how a bill becomes a law" and "how sedimentary rocks are formed." I have no idea why these are popular, but they are. And, by the way, to the first one I would send them THIS video:

To the second, I would send them one I wish I'd had when I was taking my college geology class. Of course, there was no Internet at the time; consequently, there was no YouTube.

It's funny when you think about the things we depend on so regularly that didn't even exist in the first halves of many of our lives. Hence, all these questions. In fact, here are 25 of them that are on Kentuckians' minds.
