I love bloody marys. And what's more, I've never had one for breakfast. THAT'S how much I love them. Anytime, anywhere...but they better be outstanding.

And yes, I say outstanding because, for me, there's no middle ground when it comes to the greatest cocktail creation in human history. Also, I'd prefer they not be too strong and not necessarily because of the alcohol content. While that is an important consideration, I feel that if there's too much vodka (and, please, don't bring me those disgusting bloody Marias made with tequila) it will cut into the flavor of the bloody mary.

The Craziest Bloody Marys You Ever Did See

That's very important because there's so much STUFF you can do with a bloody mary yet never dim the flavor. I have enjoyed some very "busy" bloodys and I have only SEEN even crazier ones like this one.

Now those are just NUTS. Oh, and, if you're keeping score, I don't want DONUTS anywhere near my bloody mary. I get it. It's a cocktail that provides a serious creative outlet, but you CAN get carried away.

Yes, a WHOLE fried chicken. I'm assuming that would be one for the whole table.

Indiana Winery Invites You to Enjoy a Bloody Mary with Drunken Bunny Pee

Now, here's a question for you. Have you ever made a bloody mary using WINE? I know, I know. It sounds weird. But honestly, it can't sound any weirder that what you've just seen above, right?

At Patoka Lake Winery in Birdseye IN, a crowd favorite has returned by popular demand...Drunken Bunny Pee. Yes it is a wine, but it's become a favorite bloody mary ingredient at the winery.

And yes, you read that write. Drunken Bunny Pee is a carrot wine, and I have to tell you, I've never heard of anything like it, but I will certainly give it a go. No, I'm not much of a wine drinker, but I'd try it.

Beautiful Pakota Lake in Southern Indiana

One more thing...I couldn't let you go without touting the simply amazing vacation destination that IS Patoka Lake. I'm a big fan of lakes, and this is a beauty.

Warm weather fast approaches and so do weekends during which you will want to be outside. And this is a great place to do just that...and to have a bloody mary made with a little Drunken Bunny Pee.
