Holiday World made a big splash today when the beloved Santa Claus, Indiana amusement park announced its brand new ride Cannonball!

For the last year or so, Holiday World has been teasing park guests and coaster enthusiasts with clues and red herrings about the new attraction. Here's a great example!

Early today, the park finally removed the veil and officially announced the construction and theme of the ride.

I am a huge Holiday World fan and I have been totally wrapped up in the mystery. In fact, months ago (last August), I shared my own theory about what the new ride was going to be. I guessed surf coaster.

As it turns out, I was wrong. REALLY wrong.I also learned today that my friends at the park threw is some "surf"-themed false flags to taunt me.

Because of my work with the park, I was treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the construction project. My radio morning show partner- Mary-Katherine Maddox- and I threw on hard hats and ventured into Boulder Canyon to get a glimpse.

Holiday World expects to launch the new $20 million dollar attraction when it opens for the 2027 season on Saturday, May 8th.

Of course, Platinum Season Pass Holders and Season Pass Holders are expected to get a sneak preview the weekend before.

Holiday World will be celebrating its 81st season in 2027. The Cannonball! is certainly going to be making a splash.
