Like many of you, I've paid tribute to the late, great Dolly Parton in many ways over the past week. The way she saw the world and her relationship to it has inspired me my whole life and will continue to do so forever.

If you are a fan, you've probably recently rewatched your favorite movie of hers. Although I was just reminded of how awesome The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is, my top pick will always be Steel Magnolias. Truvy gave the best life advice in her little beauty shop. She also shared a special recipe.

For "Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa," she lays out the ingredients and how to make it. "A cuppa flour, a cuppa sugar, a cuppa fruit cocktail (with the juice), and you mix and bake at 350 till goooooooold and bubbly!” It really is that easy. Then she gives a little pro tip to add ice cream to "cut the sweetness."

This weekend, I went to a birthday party for my sweet friend, Ron. He found a delicious way to honor our gal that was just perfect. He made Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa for everyone! Of course, he served it with ice cream as instructed. I think the ice cream is a non-negotiable with this recipe because it is definitely swee-ee-eet!

We got to enjoy it right out of the oven, so it was still warm and, yes, bubbly. I have made this before, but it was probably over a decade ago. This is the only photo we got because we basically swarmed and devoured it.

It was nice to be reminded of it, and I'm sure I will make it again if I ever feel the need to celebrate Queen Dolly! Maybe for September 25th (9-25). I hear it could become a national holiday.

Have you ever made or enjoyed Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa? What do you think?
