Raptor Con Adds SNL Star Chris Kattan

Are you excited for Evansville's premier pop culture convention, Raptor Con, happening this weekend? The convention's owner and operator, Matt Grisham, announced some bad news yesterday that actually turned into some pretty great news for fans.

Unfortunately, Paul Walter Hauser from movies like Cruella and The Naked Gun and Lauren LaVera from the Terrifier franchise had to pull out at the last minute due to work schedules.

But the gang at Raptor Con rallied and pulled in a big name to help fill the guest lineup.

Matt said he spent countless hours on the phone trying to fill the spots. He announced that Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan will be heading to Evansville this weekend for Raptor Con.

You probably remember Kattan from SNL and A Night at the Roxbury, but he's also appeared in Monkeybone, The Middle, House on Haunted Hill, and Bunnicula.

Matt also said presold tickets for the professional photo opportunities with Paul Walter Hauser and Lauren LaVera will be refunded or can be rolled into another photo opportunity.

Fans will still have plenty of celebrities to meet, including Rob Paulsen, Kevin Nash, Colleen O'Shaughnessy, Leah Voysey, Mason McCartha, Danny Tamberelli, Moell Macneal, Chauncey Leopardi, Marguerite Moreau, Marty York, Matt Doherty, and now Chris Kattan.

Raptor Con Returns to Evansville This Weekend

Raptor Con takes place September 12-13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Old National Events Plaza in downtown Evansville. The convention will feature celebrity guests, cosplay, vendors, and plenty of pop culture fun.

And all badge holders are also welcome to join the after-party.

Hosted by Matt Grisham, Gavin Eddings, and Artist Tony Trip, folks can watch as artist Tony Trip takes the digital easle to bring wild concepts to life live on canvas, Matt and Gavin take the mic to turn every suggestion into non-stop riffs, roasts, and unexpected crowd moments. You call the shots, Tony draws the insanity, and Matt and Gavin keep the awkwardness alive.
