It Takes a Village Spencer County Location in Chrisney Has Closed

It was announced yesterday via Facebook that the Spencer County It Takes a Village location in Chrisney has shut its doors. According to the post, "Effective immediately, It Takes A Village Rescue and the Spencer County Board of Commissioners will be parting ways."

They went on to say that they will not abandon the homeless animals in their care at the Spencer County location. They will be bringing them to the Evansville location, but unfortunately, there just isn't enough room to accommodate all of the displaced animals.

They are desperately looking for fosters and adopters.

It Takes a Village Needs Foster Families and Adopters

Fostering is super easy. All you have to do is pick out an animal, fill out an application, and pick them up. They will even provide a kennel, vet care, and food if you need it.

If you've ever thought about fostering a dog or cat, this could be a great time to give it a try. Opening your home to an animal, even temporarily, can help free up space for another animal in need.

Here are some of the pets that need temporary and permanent homes.
