Looking for Deep Relaxation? Try This Floating Sound Bath in Evansville
So, let's get a little personal. Fun fact about me. I love ASMR.
At night, sometimes it's hard for me to shut my mind off. My brain jumps from one thing to the next. That's when I turn on ASMR. Focusing on the movements and sounds helps me tune out all the junk clogging up my neuropathways.
I love it so much that my husband bought me fancy silk sleep headphones. I can turn on ASMR and drift off to those soft, soothing sounds.
How ASMR Helps Me Relax at Night
I didn't realize it at first, but my fancy sleep headphones are kind of like a sound bath. According to WebMD, “A sound bath is a meditative experience where you lie down and let waves of sound wash over you. There’s no water involved. The ‘bath’ part comes from how sound surrounds you, like you’re being gently soaked in vibration.”
What Is Sound Healing
Sound healing is an ancient technique used across various cultures, including Tibetan and Buddhist traditions. Practitioners use singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, bells, and other soft instruments. The idea is that tonal frequencies help bring the body into a state of vibrational balance and harmony.
Benefits of Sound Baths and Sound Healing
Some of the things it’s said to help with include calming your nervous system, syncing up your body and brain, improving sleep, relieving stress and fatigue, easing mild pain, and supporting emotional and spiritual well-being.
