Years in the Making, Warrick Humanse Society Sets Grand Opening
After years of dreaming, fundraising, and building, Warrick Humane Society is finally ready to welcome the community to its new home.
The organization will celebrate the grand opening of its brand-new shelter on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 5566 Vann Road in Newburgh.
And after everything it took to get here, Warrick Humane Society isn't just opening its doors and cutting a ribbon. They're throwing a party.

Come See the New Warrick Humane Society Shelter
The grand opening will give visitors a chance to tour the facility and see the space that will care for animals waiting for their forever homes.
Throughout the day, there will also be giveaways, raffles, Warrick Humane Society merchandise, and plenty of celebrating.
Just Foto Booths: Captured with Kindness will have a photo booth available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while Tater Temptations will serve food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Myriad Brewing Company will also be on hand serving beer for those over 21.
And if you're someone who likes to be first in line, there's a little extra incentive.
The first 25 people through the doors will receive a free commemorative Warrick Humane Society pint glass. After those are gone, additional commemorative glasses will be available with any monetary donation while supplies last.
Help Stock the Brand-New Shelter
Of course, moving into a new building also means there are a whole lot of shelves waiting to be filled.
Warrick Humane Society is asking visitors to help "Stock Our New Shelter" by bringing some of the everyday essential supplies the organization goes through constantly.
The wishlist includes things like laundry detergent, paper towels, and other cleaning supplies. Keep scrolling to see more from their wishlist.
These may not be particularly glamorous donations, but they are imperative to the day-to-day operations and the care of the animals.
A New Chapter for Warrick Humane Society
The grand opening is also an opportunity for Warrick Humane Society to celebrate the people who help make the new facility possible.
Ultimately, this new building is about what happens after the grand-opening balloons come down.
Every dog and cat that walks through those doors will have a new place to find safety and care while waiting for the thing every shelter animal deserves: a home of their own.
