On April 6th one Evansville, Indiana animal rescue will participate in a global fundraising event - the International Shelter Slumber Pawty and you're invited!

How Did the Shelter Slumber Pawty Get Its Start?

The very first Shelter Slumber Pawty was hosted by a St. Louis, Missouri rescue known as Gateway Pet Guardians in 2017. The organization asked volunteers and shelter staff to live side-by-side the shelter dogs, in their kennels, for one day. The entire 24-hour event was streamed live giving the general public an inside look at what its like for a shelter animal.

First International Shelter Slumber Pawty Raised Over $600k

That first event raised over $30,000. The Slumber Pawty expanded in 2019 as more St. Louis area rescues joined in to raise even more money. Then, in 2023. more than 40 shelters in four countries around the globe collectively raised more than $600,000.
