Indiana State Police, in partnership with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, are taking part in an initiative to raise awareness about human trafficking.

What Exactly Is Human Trafficking?

You've likely heard the phrase "human trafficking" but may not realize just how serious it is. According to the United States Department of Homeland Security, millions of people are trafficked around the world.

Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. - DHS
