Where To Find Harmonie State Park

Located about 25 miles from Evansville, just outside the beautiful town of New Harmony, Indiana in Posey County, Harmonie State Park is home to a 200-site campground with electric hook-ups, cabins, and modern restroom facilities. In addition to the electric campsites and cabins, there is also a more primitive area for youth-group camping.

Harmonie State Park Is a Haven for Outdoor Enthusiasts

Aside from camping, Harmonie State Park has shelter houses, picnic tables, playground equipment, hiking trails, and naturalist programs. The park also offers mountain biking and fishing too. The park is a haven for outdoor recreation, offering something for everyone.

Harmonie State Park is located "on the banks of the Wabash" 25 miles northwest of Evansville. Camping and cabins, shady picnic areas, ravines, and pristine landscapes await you here. Harmonie State Park Is Actively Seeking Camp Hosts

Harmonie State Park is currently seeking camp hosts for 2025. According to Indiana DNR, the park is home to three campground host sites and two VIP sites. All five of these sites offer full hookups. A minimum stay of two weeks is required of camp hosts, with a maximum stay of four weeks.

Harmonie State Park Campground Host Duties and Expectations

Camp hosts and VIPS are expected to work a minimum of twenty hours each week of their stay by being an ambassador for the park answering questions from campers, helping with cleanup around the park, and even assisting at the nature center.

Duties: Be goodwill ambassador; answer camper questions; report camping infractions to security personnel; and assist with traffic control; pick up litter; clean the comfort stations; clean trash out of the fire rings; and assist with staffing the nature/interpretive center.
