Families in the Evansville area will have a chance to get support, resources, and essential baby items at an upcoming Community Baby Shower designed to help those who need it most.

The event is set for Saturday, May 2, from 1 to 3 p.m., and it is open to the entire community, with a focus on supporting families navigating pregnancy, postpartum life, and early childhood needs.

What Families Can Expect At The Community Baby Shower

Organizers say this year’s event will go beyond giveaways. Families who attend can take part in short educational sessions covering topics like perinatal health, lactation support, and car seat safety. The goal is to make sure attendees leave not just with supplies, but with knowledge and support they can actually use.

At the same time, every participating family will receive essential baby items to help ease some of the financial stress that often comes with raising a newborn.
