Local Dads Competing in Super Dad Contest for Charity

My Facebook feed was recently inundated with cute pictures of girl dads and their daughters, which isn't uncommon, except these dads were claiming some pretty big titles. Dad of the Year, you say? Explain yourselves!

A 501(c)(3) charity organization known as Colossal Management is behind all of these "Best Of" awards we've been seeing all over the internet over the past year. The most recent contest is the Super Dad contest, which comes with a $25,000 grand prize (among other awesome prizes). Typically, I don't condone these things at all, as I feel that they are nothing more than a popularity contest. However, I did some digging and found out what this is all about, and I'm absolutely here for it. The primary reason to support it? These cool Dads have committed to paying it forward to local charities.

Cody Williams Super Dad Needs Your Vote for NJB Buddy Ball

Cody Williams and his wife are like many of you, spending their weekends running the kids from ballpark to dance lessons, to swim parties, and practice. Somewhere in between, Williams finds time to help out with Newburgh Junior Baseball's Buddy Ball. A donation-funded nonprofit, Buddy Ball offers children and adults with physical or mental disabilities the opportunity to play accessible sports. Williams says if he wins the Super Dad award, he'll be donating the grand prize to Buddy Ball. If you'd like to help support the Buddy Ball cause, vote for Cody Williams here. The Williams family is pictured below as follows: Cody, his wife Nikki, and their children Nash and Georgia Rae.

Steven Breivogel Super Dad Needs Your Vote for CourtStrong

Sometimes worlds collide in crazy ways. I met Steven Breivogel around 2004-2005 through his sister and 4H (long story short). I met his wife around the same time, but long before he even knew her name. I used to take pictures for the Warrick County newspaper, and Ashley Breivogel (Drew) was a baller. These two finally found each other, and now he is up for Super Dad and wants to donate to a cause close to all of our hearts, because we were all meeting Courtney Nelson (Barth) at the same time, even though we didn't know each other yet. If he wins, Breivogel will donate a portion of the grand prize winnings to Courtstrong, a non-profit dedicated to helping families in the midst of fighting cancer. If you'd like to help support Courtstrong, vote for Steven Breivogel here. The Breivogel family is pictured below as follows: Steven, his wife Ashley, and their children Adley, Hudson, and Raelynn.

Daniel Schnur Needs Your Super Dad Vote to Support Evan Paul Terhune Foundation

It must be a 4H thing, because I also met Daniel Schnur through Warrick County 4H. In fact, if you're from Warrick County, you probably know a Schnur. I cannot say enough good things about this family, as I spent many hours hanging out with the Schnur kids and can attest to how awesome this massive Warrick County family is. Schnur plans to donate a portion of his winnings to the Evan Paul Terhune Foundation, a nonprofit offering financial assistance and wellness counseling in the spirit of Evan's generosity, among other services. If you'd like to support the Evan Paul Terhune Foundation, vote for Daniel Schnur here. The Schnur family is pictured below: Daniel Schnur, his wife Erika, and their children Sage, August, Zinnia, Everleigh, Vivienne, Timothy, and William.
