Give Back Event This Saturday For Chandler Family In Need
Creed Fussner Needs Our Help
We recently shared a story about the Fussner family from Chandler, Indiana, and the struggles they are facing with their son, Creed. At four months old, Creed is fighting the biggest battle of his life, as he has bacterial meningitis. No matter how you cut it, this infection is a medical emergency that requires immediate attention, or the results could lead to permanent brain damage, hearing loss, learning disabilities, and even death. Creed had excessive fluid and swelling on his brain, which led to surgery to drain and relieve pressure. While he is receiving the best care possible at Riley Children's Hospital at IU Health, Creed's battle is just beginning, and his family needs all the help they can get to make it through this and be with their son. Check out the original article about Creed's battle, and if you'd like, you may also donate here.
Give Back Event In Boonville Saturday For Creed
As the story continues to be shared across social media, the outpouring of community support has been incredible. One local business has decided to put its money where its mouth is and host a give-back event for the family. I wrote an article earlier this year about a new food truck in Warrick County called Twisted Pops. They specialize in dirty sodas, flatbread pizzas, and BBQ sandwiches. This Saturday, you can check out some of their new items, including Dubai chocolate options and strawberry shortcake. Twisted Pops will be donating a large portion of their sales from the day to Creed Fussner and his fight with bacterial meningitis. The event will take place in the Boonville Walmart parking lot starting at 1:30 pm and will continue as long as the line lasts. Want to get your picture with the Easter bunny? Mr. Bunny will be there at the start of the event for you to get pictures with your kiddos if you would like.
