This sweet guy's name is Rio and he is our Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society.

All Makes And Models are Available at the VHS!

The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them in all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats who have been around awhile. So there is a very good likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week with the VHS, and this week we've got a sweet guy named Rio and he proves that black cats aren't bad luck at all!

Meet Rio!

Rio is a five-year-old all-black cat that is currently available for adoption through the VHS.  Rio's family moved and he was surrendered to the VHS.  VHS describes Rio as playful, goofy, and a snuggle bug.

His name is Rio and he dances on the sand (kitty litter.) Okay so that Duran Duran song was not written about this guy, but it’s fun to pretend! Because when 5 year old Rio shines, he really shows you all he can. Surrendered to the VHS after his family moved, Rio has wasted no time becoming a sensation in our open cat room.
