Gotta Catch ‘Em All! PokeKon Fest Coming to Evansville
A major Pokémon convention is coming to Evansville this fall.
In the late 1990s, kids in the United States were first introduced to the phenomenon known as Pokémon. From the trading game cards to the anime series, to the movie, and the video games, Pokémon was everywhere. In fact, Pokémon is still just as popular in 2026 as it was 30 years ago. I still have a lot of my old Pokémon cards from when I was a kid in the 90s, and my bonus son has a bunch that he collects as well. Pokémon is truly something that bonds generations. Well, now, fans of all ages will be able to gather in Evansville this fall for a special Pokémon convention.
PokeKon Fest Coming to Evansville
PokeKon Fest, a touring single-day Pokémon convention, will take place Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Evansville from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. PokeKon is for folks who want to experience all things Pokémon, The convention features a marketplace packed with vendors, local artists and exhibitors showcasing a massive variety of trading cards, video games, custom artwork, apparel, collectibles and manga.
PokeKon Fest will feature a large marketplace with vendors, local artists and exhibitors selling trading cards, video games, custom artwork, apparel, collectibles, and manga. Attendees are encouraged to bring their personal trade binders to swap cards with other trainers. Plus, LindasySheppard, who voiced Aria in Pokémon Series: XY, will be available for signings and photo opportunities throughout the day.
So, if you are looking to sell, trade, or buy Pokémon cards, or maybe you just want to get your hands on some other cool Pokémon collectables. This might be worth the visit. I know between my Bonus Son and me, we have quite a few cards at home that we'd like to find out the value of. This sounds like the perfect opportunity.
