One Indiana restaurant found itself among the top 100 restaurants in the United States, and it's probably not the one you would think.

Indiana has a lot of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area where people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest.

Some of these restaurants are pretty famous too. As you know, there are a lot of famous restaurants throughout the country. No, I'm not talking about the big-name chain restaurants that everyone knows about because they're in practically every town. I am talking about restaurants that have become a must-visit place whenever you visit a city. Most of them are found in bigger cities like Chicago or New York, but there are a few scattered all across Indiana that have garnered quite a reputation over the years.

Yelp recently named the Top 100 Restaurants in the United States, and as it turns out, many of these are some of those "famous" restaurants. Out of the entire top 100, only one of those restaurants is located in Indiana.

One Indiana Restaurant Named Among Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S.

Yelp recently released its list of the Top 100 Places To Eat In The U.S. In 2024. Yelp analyzed submissions, ratings, review volume, and community input. While some states were completely left off the list, Indiana was lucky enough to have one restaurant on that list. However, it most likely isn't the one you'd expect.

As anyone to name a famous local restaurant in Indiana and I'd be willing to bet that they would say St. Elmo Steakhouse in Indianapolis. If I were to guess, I would have said that would have been the Indiana restaurant that made the top 100. However, that's not the case. Livery, located in Indianapolis was the only Indiana restaurant to make the list.

Livery came in at number 66 on the list. This Latin American restaurant serves up some of the best Hispanic food in the state, primarily empanadas. One cool thing about Livery is that it's a two-story restaurant that is a restored 1890's building that once stabled horses.
