Las Vegas Raiders Plane Lands In Evansville

Living by an airport can be a blessing and a curse. As someone who hates to fly, I'm not a big fan of it. However, I've lived by the Evansville airport since 2016, and needless to say, airplanes have grown on me. I enjoy watching them take off and land, and occasionally, we get a cool visit. Prior to being elected, President Trump made a visit to Evansville. I had left my home before he was expected to touch down, but upon returning home, my best friend was perched atop my roof to see him land. Cool things happen around airports. I recently thought I was seeing things as I watched the Las Vegas Raiders airplane land in Evansville. Why would an NFL team jet be landing in Evansville?

Allegiant Maintenance Hub Is In Evansville

Much to my surprise, the most likely reason I witnessed the Raiders' plane in Evansville is that Allegiant Air uses the Evansville Airport for training and maintenance on occasion. This occasion was simply a regularly scheduled flight from Tampa/St. Pete to Evansville. Allegiant is also the stadium sponsor for the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team. I thought all of the NFL teams had private jets, but it turns out the majority of them fly commercial. So which teams own a private jet? According to Sentinel Aviation, those teams include the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, and our beloved Indianapolis Colts. The Raiders' plane carries fans to and from Las Vegas for games and also flies on training and general routes, so there's a good chance you could see it for yourself, or if you're lucky, you could get a flight on one.
