Meet Merrick! He’s Our VHS Pet of the Week
This adorable boy is an adoptable puppy at the Vanderburgh County Humane Society, looking for his forever home!
The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them of all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats that have been around for a while. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! An animal like our VHS Pet of the week!

Meet our Piece of Cake Pet of the Week, Merrick!
Here's what the Vanderburgh Humane Society says about this sweet pup:
This silly boy is Merrick, one of two remaining puppies from the “M” litter! He is a 5-month-old male hound/retriever puppy. You may not know that the VHS has many puppies right now. Usually puppies get adopted very quickly, but with a local backlog of spay/neuter and fewer people adopting… puppies are just sitting in kennels for the first time in a long while! As you can tell, since there isn’t even a regular kennel for Merrick… he’s in a floor crate. 😔 Check out the VHS website for information on all the available puppies. Adoption fee for a puppy is $250 and includes their spay/neuter, microchip, and however many vaccines they are able to have at their age (boosters may be required later at the adopter’s expense.) Come visit Merrick Tuesday-Saturday 12-6!
