You might think that the same Indiana small town was honored with these accolades, but it seems like with each accolade, it's a different small town. That's certainly the case here. Last year, HGTV listed the 50 most charming small towns in America. The Indiana town that they chose came as a surprise to me. Is This the Most Charming Town in Indiana?

While I was expecting the answer to be Nashville, Indiana, Reader's Digest says that the most charming town in Indiana is Zionsville. Honestly, it makes a little bit of sense as Zionsville was recently named the best place to raise a family in Indiana.

Here's what Reader's Digest said about Zionsville:

Just 20 minutes northwest of Indianapolis, Zionsville features a quaint village with brick streets, boutique shops and locally owned restaurants. Rare in the typically flat landscape of central or northern Indiana, Zionsville features rolling hills, horse farms and foliage that turns a bright gold, orange and red come fall. Families enjoy spending time at Lions Park, with its baseball fields and playgrounds. Local favorite restaurants and shops include the Friendly Tavern for an Indiana breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, and Five Thirty Home for home decor.

Zionsville has a lot to offer families and guests all throughout the year. You can check out some of the things that make this small town charming by clicking here.

16 Indiana Towns with Dirty-Sounding Names

A majority of these towns were given their names in the mid-to-late 1800s as settlers making their way across the country found unclaimed plots of land and decided to make them their own. While I imagine they thought the names they came up with were innocent, and perhaps a tribute to something in their lives, pop culture has warped our minds to the point since then that we can't help but think of something about the town that was never intended by its founders. Take a look at this list. I guarantee there's at least one name that will make you chuckle.
