This week's Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society, who shares a name with a famous adventurer, is currently living in downtown Evansville with the other residents of River Kitty Cat Cafe and is ready to start a new adventure with you and your family. Meet Indiana Jones.

Indy's Story

While his name suggests he's up for a fun adventure, one-year-old Indy can usually be found lounging on one of the hanging bridges inside the cat room or napping near the window.

Rumor has it that cats who like to spend their time on the bridges ("River Kitty Bridge Trolls" as the staff affectionately calls them, lol) are usually the next cat to get adopted from the Cafe. Of course, they would love to see that tradition continue, and I'm sure Indy would too.

To help hopefully make that happen, Indy's adoption fee will be discounted this Sunday. Normally, it would cost you $80 to take him home. However, during this special discount event, it will only cost you $40. And the best part (outside of getting a new furry best friend) is that you still get everything that's included with the regular price; up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping, and neutering.

If you'd like to get a jump on the adoption process for Indy, or any of the animals the VHS offers that you might be interested in, you can fill out some of the paperwork in advance on the VHS website.
