The Most Popular Taco Bell Item in Indiana Will Disappoint You
A study has found the most popular Taco Bell item ordered in every state, and when it comes to Indiana, the choice is both clear and bland.
Taco Bell is easily my most frequented drive-thru, whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Is it the best fast food chain out there? Probably not. But it's still relatively cheap, and let's face it, it's one of the few restaurants open past 10 p.m. Although the service at most locations could likely benefit from some adjustment, I'd still say Taco Bell is pretty great—in terms of mediocre, cheap eats.
This Popular Menu Item Has Been a Fan Favorite for Two Decades
Most folks likely have a favorite go-to menu item when it comes to the purple palace of Mexican-inspired cuisine. In fact, a study conducted by The Waycroft claims to have found the most popular Taco Bell item by state. But before we get to that, let's take a gander at the most popular item overall. The top pick was the Crunchwrap Supreme, which joined the menu in 2005. It's a toasted, hexagonal-shaped taco accompanied by a tostada shell that includes seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, reduced-fat sour cream, shredded cheese, and diced tomatoes. It's easily my personal favorite.

Turns Out, Hoosiers Aren’t Getting Crazy With Taco Bell Orders
The most popular menu items following the Crunchwrap Supreme include the Quesarito and the classic Taco Bell Soft Taco—which just so happens to be the top choice of Hoosiers. I'm quite honestly astonished that this was the top pick for Indiana. Out of all the menu items that have graced the Taco Bell menu over the years, we Hoosiers (as a majority) seem to prefer a simple taco over all else. Not a Doritos Locos Taco or a Taco Supreme, just a plain soft taco. I suppose there's nothing wrong with keeping it simple, but maybe it's time we get out of our comfort zone just a little during the next drive-thru run.
