A Kentucky Fair is Hosting a Little Debbie Eating Contest
It's County Fair season all throughout Kentucky, and one fair is doing something unique for Little Debbie fans.
I don't know about you, but I love a good Little Debbie snack. Of course, my favorite is the Christmas Tree Cakes, but you can only get those during the holidays. Throughout the year, though, there are so many Little Debbie snacks that you can indulge in. We are talking about Swiss Cake Rolls, Fudge Rounds, Honey Buns, or any one of the other cakes available. If you are a Little Debbie fan like me and find yourself eating way too many of them, how do you think you could fare in a Little Debbie Eating Contest? Well, if you're up for the challenge, one fair in Kentucky is giving you the chance to win some cash if you win.
Little Debbie Eating Contest at the Garrard County Fair
Located about 45 minutes southeast of Lexington, Kentucky, you will find Garrard County. The Garrard County Fair will be taking place July 7th through July 11th this year and will feature a week full of livestock shows, family activities, contests, entertainment, and a demolition derby. However, one event that stands out among the rest is the first-ever Little Debbie Eating Contest. Yes, this is legit!
It's happening on Friday, July 10th at the Garrard County Fairgrounds. The fair says that there is free entry and is open for age classes 5-10, 11- 15, and 16 years and older. We're talking about eating as many Little Debbie snack cakes as possible in the allotted time, and whoever eats the most in each age class will walk away with a $50 grand prize.
This is just a fun and unique event that people would go wild over (especially kids) at any county fair. If I am free on July 10th, I am making a road trip to do some work on Little Debbie snack cakes! I might even have to stick around for their Minnow Snatchin' Contest too...as long as I can keep the minnows I snatch for fishing bait!
