Food Network Says This is the Best Pizza in Indiana
Food Network knows food, so if they say this is the best place to get a slice of pizza in Indiana, it should have some merit.
Who doesn't enjoy pizza? Whether it be hand-tossed, thin crust, or deep dish, no matter what toppings you prefer, there are always some delicious go-to pizzas here in Indiana. We have so many local pizza restaurants that might not get the love that they deserve. From takeout joints and holes-in-the-wall to restaurants, diners, and cafés that serve up some tasty slices of pizza, the options are endless. Honestly, that's where I believe you will find the best pizza in Indiana, not at some of these major pizza chains.
LoveFood compiled a list of the best pizza place in each state, which you can check out by clicking here. What they chose for Indiana was something completely different than another source. Reader's Digest recently compiled a similar list, and they claim that another local pizza chain is the best in the state of Indiana. This is where it gets interesting. Food Network also compiled a list like this, where they found the best pizza in each state. Surprise, surprise, they chose a different pizzeria than the other two publications.

Who Has the Best Pizza in Indiana?
Well, if you were to ask Food Network, the best place to grab a slice of pizza in Indiana can be found in Downtown Indianapolis. They say that the go-to place for pizza is Giorgio's Pizza. How good is it? Well, let's let the pizza master, Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports, tell you.
Here's what Food Network had to say about the best place for pizza in Indiana:
This New York-style pizzeria looks like it has been teleported straight from Brooklyn to Downtown Indy. Founded by Neapolitan immigrant Giorgio Migliaccio in 1990, this no-nonsense shop offers a small but mighty selection of pastas, salads, and subs. The real draw, though, is the pizza by the slice. Though Migliaccio's selection includes a couple of stuffed options (meat and vegetarian), the most-popular styles are the simple thin-crust New York Neapolitan and the fluffy Sicilian squares. Both are offered with plain cheese and sauce, as well as a choice of up to three straightforward toppings. For those who don't want to ruminate on ingredient combinations, Migliaccio serves thin-crust slices in ready-to-go options like Margherita, Eggplant, and Chicken & Spinach.
I don't care who you are, when you are a pizza lover, and you see something like this pop up on your newsfeed, you're naturally curious as to what the best place to get pizza is in your state. Granted, a list like this is completely subjective. Everyone has their own preferences, especially when it comes to pizza. So, what's the best place to get a slice of pizza in Indiana? I suppose that it's whatever you think. However, if places like Giorgio's Pizza is getting love from a major publication like Food Network, there has to be something amazing about that pizza. But let's face it, it's kind of hard to make a bad pizza.
