Dolly Parton Receives Unique Birthday Gift From Bono
The Queen Of Country Turns 80
Dolly Parton just celebrated her 80th birthday, and needless to say, the event and gifts were as star-studded as the Queen of Country herself. In fact, she's such a queen that Tennessee Governor Bill Lee declared January 19 Dolly Parton Day for the state. Another country music staple, The Grand Ole Opry, hosted a special birthday celebration for Dolly, with a star-studded lineup including Lainey Wilson, Vince Gill, Rhonda Vincent, and more. The best part? They themed the entire show around Dolly's 80's era music and accomplishments. Turning 80 isn't slowing down the glitz and glam woman! Dolly also released new music in correlation with her birthday, but this single is more than star-studded! Check out this all-female, powerhouse song from Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Queen Latifah, and Reba!

The Very Irish Gift Bono Gave To Dolly For Her Birthday
The world knows him as Bono, the lead singer of U2, and his history with Dolly Parton is unknown to me. However, friends or songwriter buddies, whatever their history may be, Bono wins for the most unique gift. Paul David Hewson, known as Bono, is a very Irish man who's very proud of his culture. Therefore, for Dolly's birthday, he sent her a real-life bagpiper! Perched comfortably on a couch, a man enters the room with a lit birthday cake (which Dolly blew out like a champ, for 80). Then the bagpiper proceeds into the room playing Happy Birthday, as only an Irish bagpiper can do. Check out the post from Dolly's Instagram:
