As someone who was born and raised here in the Evansville area, and plans to repeat that with my children, I can honestly say that I'm proud of my home. Granted, I know everyone's situation is different growing up, but I don't think that the Evansville area is a bad place to raise a family. Sure, some areas are worse than others when it comes to crime, but that is true for practically anywhere. You could also make an argument for the unpredictable weather we have here. However, the Evansville area has really been booming over the past few years, offering a lot for families.

Niche recently found the best places to raise a family in the Evansville area based on public schools, crime rates, cost of living, and family-friendly amenities, based on data from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, CDC, and other data sources. These places include local towns and neighborhoods. I'll admit, the results might surprise you. Let's take a look.
