Apparently, This is the Most Stressed City in Kentucky
A recent study says that this Kentucky city is the most stressed in the entire state. Do you think you know what it is?
Stress. It's everywhere nowadays. It doesn't matter where you live, stress is always around. I don't know about you, but I have found that the older I get the more I stress about things. Whether it be stress over money, commutes, family, friends, or sports, everyone experiences stress. When it comes to the state of Kentucky, stress is apparently everywhere. Recently, Kentucky ranked as the eighth overall most stressed state in America with money-related and health and safety-related stress being the driving factors behind its ranking. To expand on that a little more, Zippia released a study of the most stressed city in each state. That being said, which Kentucky city experiences the most stress? Let's find out.
The Most Stressed City in Kentucky
To determine which cities were the most stressed, Zappia said they did so by:
<p>Using the most recent data from the U.S. Census American Community Survey for 2013-2017 and BLS, we ranked each city in America in the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Unemployment</li><li>Hours Worked</li><li>Commute Times</li><li>Income-To-Home-Price Ratio</li><li>Percent of Uninsured Population</li></ul><p>The higher a city ranked in any of these areas, the more stressed it was. We then took a closer look at each of the 50 states and ranked the cities in each state from most stressed to least stressed.</p>
Now that we got that part out of the way, let's get into what you are really here for...the most stressed city in Kentucky. According to the data from Zappia, the most stressed city in Kentucky is Richmond. Zappia's data shows the following for Richmond:
Hours Worked: 42
Commute: 20
Income-to-Home-Price Ratio: 12.55%
While, according to this data, Richmond might be the most stressed city in Kentucky, but it doesn't mean that it's all bad. There are quite a few things there for the whole family.
Plus, it's the home to Kentucky's first Buc-ees.
Now, being that I am not from Richmond, I can't confirm how stressed this city is. I'm curious though what those in that area think.
